How the programme works

Preparation

So you get the most out of Whakamātūtū, we work together to assess your requirements, provide personalised support, and treatment as necessary, and prepare you for the programme.

Programme

For six weeks, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm you will be at our Centre, at 63 Cuba Street in Te Aro, Wellington. We will work with you using a range of therapies to support your recovery, that include:
Small group interpersonal psychotherapy, art therapy, music therapy, somatic therapy, and Rongoā Māori. We also provide individual medical and psychiatry care, and social work support.

Post-programme

Solidifying the gains and developing resilience, you have access to ongoing, regular peer support facilitated by Whakamātūtū.
