Meet our board members

  • Brent Williams

    The Founder – Author of ‘Out of the Woods - A Journey Through Depression and Anxiety’, mental health advocate and founder of the Community Law Centre.

  • Dame Diana Crossan

    Chair An esteemed career in the private, public and community sectors including roles as a probation officer, and senior manager in Justice, Education, EEO, and AMP. She was our Retirement Commissioner for 10 years and more recently the CE of Wellington Free Ambulance. Currently she chairs private and NGO boards.

  • Teresa Wall

    Trustee – (Te Rarawa, Te Aupōuri)
    Over thirty years experience working at all levels of our public health system, from renal nurse to Deputy Director-General, Ministry of Health as well as positions on DHB and Iwi health boards.

  • Sylvia van Dyk

    Trustee – Previous experience as Director, Assurance Standards at the External Reporting Board and Director, Quality Assurance at the Office of the Auditor-General. Extensive auditing background in the public, private and community sectors.

  • Derek Wright

    Trustee – I have a prestigious and long career, locally and internationally in the Mental Health and Addictions sector. Within New Zealand I was the National CEO Lead for Mental Health and Addictions until April 2019. I am the author of the 1997 initial report that later became the Mental Health Commission, Blueprint for Mental Health Services, New Zealand.

  • Allan Freeth

    Trustee - Allan has many years’ experience in both governance and management in telecommunications, the rural sector, banking and finance. I have a dedicated record in governance in not for profit including Chairman of Queen Margaret College, Save the Children NZ, Deputy Chairman of FilmNZ. I am currently CE of Environmental, Protection Authority & an advisor for a number of other charities associated with children and youth, community, and arts.
