About Us
The Depression Recovery Trust is a not-for-profit organization providing a dedicated programme and space for mental health recovery through Whakamātūtū. This 6-week, structured day programme is grounded in lived experience and informed by local and international best practices.
Our mission is to break down barriers to access and inclusion, particularly for Māori and Pasifika, while aligning with national health equity frameworks. Our team embraces the Pae Ora Framework, Te Whare Tapa Whā, and other holistic, culturally responsive approaches to care.
The Role
As the Executive Assistant to the Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Director's responsibilities. You will be responsible for managing the Director’s schedule, handling correspondence, coordinating meetings, and providing administrative support for various projects.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with a leadership team that is passionate about improving mental health outcomes and advancing health equity in Aotearoa.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Management: Organize the Director’s calendar, meetings, and travel arrangements.
Communication Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for correspondence, emails, and calls.
Document Preparation: Draft and proofread reports, presentations, and other documents.
Meeting Coordination: Prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
Project Assistance: Support project planning, execution, and deadline tracking.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Health and Safety Support: Assist in maintaining compliance with health and safety policies and processes.

Familiarity with culturally responsive practices, including Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and Hauora Māori Models of Care.
